1. Applicable Examples of Counseling & Career Consulting
In order to enable to make decisions about their career selection autonomously, it is important to support at an early stage of Doctoral Course Students and Postdoctors who have delayed in appropriate career planning and/or have some uneasiness about the future.
- I am unable to decide on career course alone because of feeling uneasiness and/or wavering in choice.
- There is no opportunity to know what exactly working for Japanese companies are.
- I am interested in being in employed in Japan.
- There is almost no opportunity that foreigners can know in detail about the real situation of looking for a job in Japan.
- There is almost no information about the real situation how foreigners are difficult to seek employment in Japan.
- etc.
2. Examples of Misunderstanding about the Consultation Service for DC/PD
Everything is misunderstood !!
If I ask the consultation service….
- I will be forced to participate in the long-term internship program.
- I will feel that my future is denied as a teacher or researcher.
- I will be forced to find employment in Japan.
- The advisor of student or Principal Investigator will glare me, and research activities of mine will be influenced.
- Lots of questions will be inquisitively asked and preached by the teachers of Career Development Center.
- If my intention has not clearly decided yet, the request for having the consultation will not be received.
- etc.
Using the Consultation Service is not necessarily to premise to find a job in Japan. Furthermore, that will be able to contribute to continue your career choice of becoming a teacher or researcher with firm belief.
Support for enabling your career development by your own initiative.
- Become able to clarify your anxieties by yourself
- Middle and/or long range objectives will be set by yourself
- Become able to recognize what you need to be educated and/or trained
The consulting service is not carrying out employment placement, but we are supporting together your consideration about your future career which you hope to be.
